What Makes a Certification Valuable?

Certification programs ensure the competence of maternity professionals. Certification programs establish standards for maternity education and play an important role in developing a qualified professional. The certification of a maternity professional affirms a knowledge and experience base in their field, their employers, and the public at large. Certification represents a declaration of a particular individual’s professional competence.
