The International Maternity Institute is proud to offer the first sleep consultant certification program in the maternity and sleep consulting industry, designed for sleep consultants, postpartum doulas, newborn care specialists, nannies, sleep coaches, psychologists, nurses, baby planners, and maternity consultants.
Due to the strong demand for specialized sleep training, IMI set out to develop the most comprehensive, all-inclusive and integrative program that family sleep consulting can offer. Graduates from the IMI sleep consultant certification program™ are educated and trained in all proven sleep solutions and methods. Committed to providing the best and most well-rounded education, the IMI ran their first sleep consultant certification program in the fall and since then expanded to include a professional sleep consulting advisory board, who provide their expertise and insights throughout the course.
Our comprehensive course, for those who want to provide family sleep services, is designed with an all inclusive and integrative approach to family sleep with cutting-edge, current, and evidenced based information. Our mission is to provide you with best and most objective education so that you can empower your clients to make the most suitable decision for their family’s sleeping needs.
Additionally graduates of our program are eligible to apply to be a board certified practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, an established accrediting organization since 1990.
Becoming a Family Sleep Consultant: An Introductory Workshop
If you have ever thought about becoming a Sleep Consultant in service to families, this is the course to help you make an informed decision. The International Maternity Institute is proud to present a comprehensive online distance learning course co-taught by Emily Schaffer and Mary Oscategui. Emily and Mary bring 34 years of combined experience to provide you with the finest, most comprehensive and cutting edge program in the industry.
Emily Schaffer is an elite maternity professional who brings 18 years of professional work in the maternity industry working with thousands of families and holds the following certifications: Infant Sleep Specialist, Newborn Care Instructor, PostPartum Doula, Lactation Educator, Baby Planner, and Greenproofer. Her studies and degree also include a B.A. in Holistic Health from Prescott College.
Mary Oscategui, founder of the International Maternity Institute and International Association of Sleep Consultants is an international business consultant, author, speaker and educator who specializes in maternal health, fitness, and going green. She is a leader in education has been consulting and guiding hundreds of clients for the last 16 years. She has developed and created many top-notch educational programs. Her love for sleep training evolved from her pregnancy where she found herself challenged during her third trimester. Once her daughter, Bella Luna was born, she also found herself stuck with many different theories and conflicting advice. As a result she empowered herself to find the best option for sleep that worked for her and her family. Mary also holds a multitude of prestigious certifications including baby planning, eco-consulting, wellness coaching, stress management, nutrition, yoga,group exercise, personal training, and pilates.
